Tanya Courtney
Tanya (Tannyerz/Tanny) Courtney was born in Saanichton, British Colombia, Canada. As a military brat, they bounced around Canada until landing in Toronto to attended OCAD University for a BFA in Painting and Drawing, with a minor in Social Sciences. But the starving artist life didn’t turn out too well — after spending years in multiple industries they finally settled back into the industry of their passion: you guessed it, video games. Now as a Marketing Team Lead, they have accumulated multiple years of industry experience helping out smaller indie devs with Marketing, Social Media Management, Community Management, Influencer Relations, and PR. Outside of their day job, they play a very unhealthy amount of video games (or just the right amount?), and dote over their two cats, Noel and Floki. As a genderfluid individual with a mental health disability, they are strong activists for the LGBTQIA+ community and mental health education/awareness. They love sharing their knowledge, experience, and passion, so be sure to say hi if you seem them around!
