It’s May 30th, 1911, drivers and cars from all around the world have gathered for the first Indianapolis 500. The smell of the engines fills the air as you quietly reflect in anticipation of the start of the race. There is $27,000 on the line — the equivalent of over 20 years' wages — and you’ve poured every penny you have into this moment. You slowly adjust your rearview mirror, an invention of your own that you installed with your own two hands in hopes it will give you an advantage in the race. You breathe in and place your hands on the wheel. 

The crowd roars, and you’re off.

Experience legendary races from the annals of history, like the Indianapolis 500, 24-Hours of Le Mans, and the Grand Prix circuits in the early 20th century in Royal Montgomery Raceways.

This game is an ode to the historical significance of the wild world of racing during an era without rules where safety was secondary to speed.

Players will embark on a unique journey through racing in America in the 1920s and Europe in the 1930s with realistic models directly from the cars and tracks themselves.

Royal Montgomery Raceways is being developed by Dogwood Gaming, an indie developer from Rockville, Maryland, comprised of only eight developers and artists. The 3D models of the cars used in Royal Montgomery Raceways were gifted to the developer by a retired 76-year-old man whose life was dedicated to these incredible inventions of the early 1900s.

The unbelievable detail and care it took to create these models make Royal Montgomery Raceways an immersive experience for players looking for a rush from the golden era of racing.

With casual and ranked gameplay, Royal Montgomery Raceways will surely be one for the books. Play online against the best players and teams competing for top prizes or in local split-screen matches with your friends. Everyone will have the opportunity to support their favorite racers and earn some of the prizes for themselves in Grand Prix Mode by supporting other players through in-game contributions. Seasonal winners will receive unique in-game prizes and will create history for themselves with the honor of having their car auctioned off in-game as a one-of-a-kind item.
