Here are our most anticipated games this season:
KENA: BRIDGE OF SPIRITS
Kena: Bridge of Spirits is an action-adventure exploration game developed by Ember Labs. Kena, a young Spirit Guide, travels to an abandoned village in search of the sacred mountain shrine. She struggles to uncover the secrets of this forgotten community hidden in an overgrown forest where wandering spirits are trapped. Kena: Bridge of Spirits will be released on August 24th, 2021 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Microsoft Windows.
BUTTON CITY
Button City is a colorful low poly narrative adventure developed by Subliminal. Play as a fox and his friends banding together to save their local arcade! Explore a diorama world, play exciting arcade games, complete quirky quests, and meet cute animal friends. Button City will be released on August 10th, 2021 for Nintendo Switch, PS5, Xbox, and Steam (PC/Mac).
CLOUZY
Clouzy is an adventure exploration game developed by Tinymoon. Explore the world alongside your flying pet, collect delicious fruits, and cook tasty meals to look after your cloud daycare in this cute and wholesome farming game. Clouzy does not have a release date yet but will be coming soon for Microsoft Windows, Xbox Series X and Series S, and Xbox One.
LITTLE KITTY BIG CITY
Little Kitty Big City is an adventure exploration game developed by Double Dagger Studio. Be a curious little kitty trying your best as you explore the big city. Discover unfamiliar places and meet interesting characters as you knock things off high places and nap in the most interesting spots. Will you steal the fish? Yes, because you do what you want. Little Kitty Big City does not have a release date yet because cats don't have deadlines, but will be coming soon for Microsoft Windows.
TRIBES OF MIDGARD
Tribes of Midgard is a 1-10 player co-op action survival RPG developed by Norsfell Games. In the game, the player assumes control of an Einherjar, a Viking hero who must protect the seed of Yggdrasil from enemies such as Helthings, dark elves, trolls, and giants. Tribes of Midgard will be released on July 27th, 2021 for PS5, PS4, and PC via Steam.
THE NIGHT WAY HOME
The Night Way Home is a survival horror game set in Japan and developed by Chilla’s Art. The player’s mission is to get home, but watch out—there's a vengeful ghost in town. The Night Way Home will be released on August 6th for PC.
CHINATOWN DETECTIVE AGENCY
Chinatown Detective Agency is a cyber noir point-and-click adventure by General Interactive Co. The game blends a stunning retro design with innovative mechanics. Manage your detective agency and use real-world research to solve cases as you unravel a global conspiracy. Chinatown Detective Agency does not have a set release date but will be released in Summer 2021 for Nintendo Switch, Microsoft Windows, and macOS.
CRIS TALES
Cris Tales is a gorgeous, indie love letter to classic JRPGs with a new perspective by Dreams Uncorporated. Peer into the past, act in the present, and watch as your choices dynamically change the future— all on one screen as you play! Cris Tales is available now on PlayStation, Xbox, Switch, Stadia, and PC.
TARTARUS KEY
Tartarus Key is an atmospheric horror adventure by Vertical Reach. Alex Young awakens to find herself trapped in a dark mansion filled with deadly traps, bizarre puzzles, and cameras following her every move. Alex and her fellow captives will have to use their wits to escape—or die trying. Tartarus Key does not have a set release date, but will be coming soon to Steam.
IN SOUND MIND
In Sound Mind is an imaginative first-person psychological horror by We Create Stuff. This game is full of frenetic puzzles, unique boss fights, and original music by The Living Tombstone. Journey within the inner workings of the one place you can't seem to escape—your own mind. In Sound Mind will be released on September 28th for the Nintendo Switch, Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Series S.
BOOK OF TRAVELS
Book of Travels is a role-playing game currently under development by Might and Delight. Become part of a unique social role-playing experience that doesn’t hold your hand. Inspired by genre classics, this is a serene adventure that sets you adrift in a fairytale world... Book of Travels will be released on August 9th for Windows, Mac, and Linux through Steam.
DEATH’S DOOR
Death’s Door is a role-playing adventure game by Acid Nerve. Reaping souls of the dead and punching a clock might get monotonous, but it's honest work for a crow. The job gets lively when your assigned soul is stolen and you must track down a desperate thief to a realm untouched by death—where creatures grow far past their expiry. Death’s Door is available now for Microsoft Windows, Xbox Series X, Series S, and Xbox One.
ELDEST SOULS
Eldest Souls is a fast-paced and brutally challenging game by Fallen Flag Studio. This game is a unique Boss-Rush souls-like experience. In a final act of vengeance, the Old Gods have unleashed a great Desolation upon the world. Mankind’s only hope lies with a lone warrior… and his greatsword of pure Obsydian. Eldest Souls will be available on July 29th for all platforms.
LAKE
Lake is an adventure game by Gamious. It's 1986—Meredith Weiss takes a break from her career in the big city to deliver mail in her hometown. How will she experience two weeks in beautiful Providence Oaks, with its iconic lake and quirky community? And what will she do next? It’s up to you. Lake will be available September 1st for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Microsoft Windows.
BEAR AND BREAKFAST
Bear and Breakfast is a laid-back management adventure game by Armor Games Studio. Hank and his friends find an abandoned shack and, equipped with their teenage ingenuity, turn it into a money-making bed and breakfast scheme for unsuspecting tourists. As your business expands, so do the mysteries of the forest, and Hank soon finds himself uncovering a plot deeper than the wilderness itself. Bear and Breakfast does not have a release date yet, but will be available soon for Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam.
