JUNE 13TH, 2021
Car Driving School 2020 is a solid mobile game.
Car Driving School 2020 was made by Spark Game Studios, a very small team based in Pakistan. Despite the straightforward title of this game, it’s not just a driving simulator. Aside from Free Roam and Career Mode, it also offers Parking Mode, Stunts Mode, and Multiplayer.
GAMEPLAY 7/10
I played version 1.42, but it performed more like a beta version due to a few annoying bugs. Vehicles sometimes collide with each other in traffic, and very often they ignore the player’s position and simply drive into them; then the game punishes the player by deducting points. In addition, some textures are not placed well. Hopefully, these issues will have been fixed in later versions. But for now, if we ignore the bugs, the gameplay is very interesting and helpful for new drivers.
SOUND QUALITY 9/10
This game’s sound is amazing and creates a great atmosphere.
One of the most interesting and realistic parts of the sound design is the engine sound, followed by the manual transmission. In one level, however, as you wait for a train to pass by the train’s horn is ridiculously loud, no matter how far you are from the train tracks. Even worse, that horn will continue to sound every few seconds. You’ll probably want to finish that level as soon as possible or simply mute your phone.
GRAPHICS 8/10
There are a lot of great things about the graphics in this game. First off, the menu has a very cool 3D design. The player’s car is also very detailed—so detailed that even if you choose a third-person camera angle, you can see the car’s interior and even a moving driver. On the other hand, vehicles in traffic have a medium or even low level of detail.
OVERALL 8/10
Car Driving School 2020 has both the good and the bad, but in general, this is a great game that is very helpful for new drivers or anybody else who likes driving games. It is free to download from the Google Play Store.
